Is there a fee for using these services?
There is no fee for paying online or by phone; however, a $25 return check fee will be assessed if the payment is returned for any reason.
What type of policies am I able to make electronic payments on?
Regular premium payments can be made on whole life, term life, universal life, variable universal life, indexed universal life, and disability income insurance policies only.
Are loan repayments accepted?
Electronic loan repayments are not accepted at this time for any type of policy. However, loan interest payments can be accepted for whole life policies. If you would like to make a loan repayment, you must mail a check or talk to a Customer Service Representative.
When can I make payments using these services?

Payments can be made online or by phone 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. However, premium payments for variable universal life policies can only be accepted during regular business hours when the stock market is open (before 4 p.m. EST).

Is the phone payment line available in different languages?

Yes, the phone payment line is available in both English and Spanish.

What type of payment methods can I use?

Payments are a one-time debit from a checking or a savings account. Credit card payments are not accepted at this time.

What information should I have available when making a payment?

You will need the last four digits of the policyowner’s Social Security number, policy number and bank account and routing numbers.

How do I know the amount of my premium payment?

For whole life, term life and disability income insurance policies, the payment amounts are fixed and are shown on your most recent premium notice.
For universal, indexed universal and variable universal life policies, the minimum payment allowed is $25 unless otherwise stated.

Am I able to pay a different amount, other than the one shown on my premium notice?

With the exception of universal and variable universal life policies, billing frequency changes are not allowed and the amount due, as shown on your premium notice, must be paid.

Is there a maximum amount allowed per transaction?

The maximum payment amount per transaction is $95,000 if paid online. There is a $95,000 limit when using the automated phone system. Otherwise, please call Customer Service.
For disability income insurance policies, premiums over $25,000 cannot be paid online. Please contact Customer Service for assistance.
For universal and variable universal life policies, multiple transactions can be processed for the same policy if the premium is higher. (e.g. The premium amount is $40,000. Enter the first transaction for $25,000, then enter a second transaction for $15,000.)

Can I make payments to multiple policies at the same time?

You are only able to pay for one policy at a time.

How will I know when my payment has been accepted?

If an online payment was made, an email confirmation will be sent to you. If a phone payment was made, a confirmation number can be provided at the end of the call.

When will my payment be applied to my account?

Payments in good order are accepted same day if received by 5 p.m. EST. Payments received after 5 p.m. EST (after 4 p.m. EST for variable life insurance policies, on weekends, or on national holidays will be applied the following business day).

How can I speak to a customer service representative?

Customer service representatives are available Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST at 800.366.6654. Please listen for your product and follow the prompts.
